beauty haul

well I have accidentally been shopping and accidentally brought some new stuff. oh well! So I thought I would share them with you and do my first haul. It is mainly beauty bits but I also got some stuff for my bedroom.

Firstly, I went into The Body Shop (my 2nd favourite shop- after Lush) and had a little ferry about. I picked up their 200ml Shea body butter for £13. This is literally heaven in a tub. It smells delicious and feels really creamy. Its also a really good moisturiser and makes your skin feel fresh and silky. I already have 2 other of these body butters and they are all amazing. If you ever get to chance to buy one, take it!

Then I went into Boots. I headed to the No7 stand as I needed some new foundation as my old one was running out. I brought exactly the same one that I talked about in my last post, the No7 Stay perfect super light foundation in warm beige for £14.50. I just adore this foundation, its such a good quality.

I then went to the Collection stand as I was in need of some concealer. I brought their Lasting Perfection concealer in fair for £4.99. I have never tried this concealer before but I have many friends and read many blogs that have RAVED about it. So I decided I would join the crowd and try it out - I will let you know how I get on!

I also have heard the hype about TRESemmè shampoo. So I went to the hair aisle and picked up the TRESemmè Deep Cleansing shampoo 900ml for £5.99. Supposedly it cleans and replenishes your hair and is for all hair types. It says that it removes build up and has multi vitamins. Again, I'll let you know how I get on!

I happened to walk through the make up stands and came to the Natural Collection stand. To be honest, before I have thought that this brand was cheap and not to a good quality. However, when I stayed at my friends the other night, I forgot my makeup bag so used hers. She had one of the Natural Collection blushers and it was really good! It stayed on the whole day and also my made my cheeks look really cheerful and perky. So, I brought one of their blushers in Rosey Glow for £1.99!

We have a really cute little shop in our town called Magical Story. It sells things like ornaments and wall plaques- lots of cute things with little sayings. Usually, I like having a little mooch round there and reading all the phrases. Today I noticed that they have a section where they sell Bomb Cosmetics bath bombs. I spent ages smelling all of them and eventually settled for the Raspberry and Chocolate Cupcake. Much to my disgust, Lush closed last year so I was on a lack of bath bombs but now I finally have a stock again! Finally I went round a few bitty shops and picked up 2 new items for my room.

In the summer I plan to redecorate my room in a vintage style so I have started to buy the occasional thing. I went into Wilkinson's and found that they sell really really cute cacti! I couldn't resist and brought a really sweet cactus for £2. ITS SOO CUTE!! I then went into Primark (their home section is lovely!) and had a good look at their cushions. Eventually, I picked a white cushion with a vintage bird cage and birds on it for £5. It has lace round the edge and looks really sweet on my bed. I also went and brought some pop tarts and a Hershey bar because I discovered a cute little American sweet shop. When I went to  America in 2013, I ate Hershey bars then so they always remind of me of those memories!

so thats everything! see you soon xx

my foundations

I think foundation is very dependable on the season. For example, you wouldn't be wearing a dark shade in winter as it just looks weird. Likewise, you want to look slightly tanned during the summer. As it is January, (IT SNOWED TODAY YAYYY) I have been wearing quite a light foundation.

No7 Stay Perfect super light foundation - warm beige
I naturally have quite an olive skin tone so this foundation is fairly light on me. If you have a fair complexion, you could probably get away with this in summer, as long as you added blusher etc. This foundation has got an amazing coverage and also gives you a slight highlight to your face. It applies really easily and is quite smooth so spreads well on a brush. It does create a flawless complexion and has a 24 hour wear. It feels as you have none on as it is fairly light proof and also has a SPF of 15. It retails at £14.50.

However, I do have a favourite foundation which I wear a LOT.. Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid - 40 fawn. This foundation creates a pore less look and is thick and creamy. It is almost like their 'Dream Matte Mouse' but is easier to use. It is a perfect shade for crosses between weather but also looks nice at any time. Recently, I have been mixing this foundation with my No7 one, and it makes my skin look amazing! I do find that sometimes it seems to take a lot of liquid to cover the whole face but I do think it is worth it. It really is my holy grail foundation! It costs £8 which is ridiculous.

Although, last summer I wore a completely different foundation all together (especially after I'd been to Cornwall).. Revlon Colour Stay 24hour - 330 natural tan. I found this foundation quite dark and I had to lighten it up with a powder, even after I had been sunbathing! It did make my face look silky and had a fairly good coverage. Unfortunately, the Revlon foundations do not come with a pump so I found it a nightmare to keep pouring on my hand! However, like the bottle says, it did stay on for 24 hours and kept me looking tanned. This foundation costs £12.50. byee xx

ps. sorry for the awful picture and bottle quality!

MAC lipstick review

ok so I'm going to start off this blog with a lipstick review. My all time favourite lipstick is . . .
MAC retro matte in Ruby Woo - A54
I adore this lipstick! It is a very bright red and a fantastic quality. this lipstick stays on for hours and is not ruined by food and drink. It definitely has its matte finish and feels like you don’t have lipstick on as it dries really fast. i find all the mac lipsticks are like this but i just love this colour and looks ace with a black outfit!
I would recommend wearing it for saturday nights or trips out, its not an everyday shade. I think you have to be quite confident to wear a bright red lipstick as it becomes the focus of your face and even your outfit. I would say that if you are going to wear this lipstick, I would wear light eye makeup as I tend to find it makes me look like a drag with a heavy face! I wear just mascara and under eyeliner with this lipstick and that tends to compliment each other quite well.
Not only does it look amazing, but this lipstick actually smells gorgeous (not that it matters)! You can tell that it is a MAC lipstick and it feels quite silky. This lipstick is my best lipstick but is closely followed by the Maybelline super 14 hour stay lipsticks.
the lipstick retails at £15.50. It is worth every penny!!
see you soon guys x x
