night routine (weekdays)

I have been looking forward to doing this post for ever! Today I have finally have my nighttime routine for you all to look at. I do still find it a bit weird how it is popular to share what you do when you get in, but you know, it seems to work. This is what I do on a weekday so it isn't even that exciting... ah well. Hope you enjoy...

Ok so when I first get in I do any work that I have been set, catch up with course work or attempt to do some revision! And yes, the photo displays some uber exciting chemistry work on chromatography... yay!!!! NO.

I then try and take my dog a walk, if I have time after my torturous work. I have a cocker spaniel and he is literally the cutest thing I have ever seen in my whole life. He is my pride and joy. ITS SO FLUFFY I AM GOING TO DIE. I hope you get that reference lol.

OOH EXCITING FACT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME!!!!!!!!!!! I play the clarinet and so every night I practice my pieces for my next grade. I have played for ten years and also play saxophone! So there you go- something new about me! I actually have a random video on youtube of me playing sax! If you want to hear it, it is HERE. Skip to about 20 seconds for it to start...

By now its usually time for tea. My dad makes the nicest meals and this was a roast we had the other day. It was gorgeous!

This is when I have the opportunity to scroll aimlessly through instagram and Facebook and twitter (insta and Facebook are my personal accounts so no links there sorry). and Yes, i did search for the hashtag nightphotography because the photos are always super pretty!

I then have a bath or a shower. I take my makeup off with Garnier Micellar water but I forgot to take a photo sorrryyyyyy. At the moment, I am using TRESemmè Salon Silk shampoo and Garnier Ultimate blends conditioner. They are really good! Not an ad!

I am currently OBSESSED with the Body Shops Mango range! It smells amazing! No joke, this is my second bottle in like two months and it usually takes me ages to get through shower gel. So if you are looking for a good shower gel, I highly recommend the Body Shop.

When I get out of the shower/bath, I towel dry my hair and then brush it through to get all the knots out. Once smooth, I take a tiny bit of Moroccan Oil in my hands and pull my fingers through the ends of my hair to make it extra soft. I then obviously dry it!

Usually by now it is time for bed, so I am most likely to have a few chocolate digestives and then brush my teeth and also sort out my braces. You will never understand how weird it was trying to get a good photo of my toothbrush!

Finally, just before I go to bed, I like to read as it gets my mind in a sleepy place and I also absolutely love reading! At the moment, I am reading the Mother and Daughter Diaries by Claire Shaw. Quite a deep book, but if you are into that sort of thing, you will love it!

In the last photo, you can see my new wallpaper! Not at all exciting for you but reaaaally exciting for me! Unless you are wanting a room tour? Maybe soon!
Hope you enjoyed my little routine,
See you soon,

city haul

Hey! Happy November. I went shopping with my best friend to our nearest city last week and accidentally brought quite a lot! So, I now have some bits I can show you for a haul! Enjoy...

Okay so where I went, there is a massive Primark so we had a bit of a mad trying-on-clothes spree and I ended up buying 2 coats! This first one is quite thin and would be nice for walking around an indoor place and it was £23 reduced to £10! How could I say no?!

The other coat I brought was a bit more fancy. It is this maroony-brown colour and has a big fur collar which you can take off and on. It is so warm but also quite comfy! This was £28.

I went into Wilkinsons to get the last few bits for my new room (room tour soon maybe?!) and I fell in love with this chandelier! It only cost £30 but the thing I would watch out for is that its really hard to assemble!

Also from Wilko's, I picked up this whicker bin for £2.50 to go under my desk. Not very exciting but it was something I brought.

Superdrug have a 3 for 2 deal on beauty at the moment, and if you buy 3 beauty products you get a free canvas bag! So, I decided to do the deal! Firstly, I got this dark pink nail paint from Barry M in the classic style for £2.99.

I also picked up this highlighter from Make up Revolution for £3.99 and it is so good! It is one of the only highlighters I have tried that stands out on my skin tone.

Finally, I picked up an eyeshadow palette from Make up Revolution in the shade Ionic 1. These shades are so nice! They sort of remind me of the ones from Naked but they are so much cheaper. This cost me £4. I love it!

Continuing the make up front, I went into Mac and couldn't resist making a little purchase! I realised I was lacking on my matte lipsticks so I picked up this gorgeous muted pink shade called Mehr and this cost the same as the other Mac lipsticks; £15.50.

I then went into Waterstones and brought Zoella's new book, Girl Online:On Tour. Don't worry I am not going to give any spoilers! I brought this on Friday, it is now Sunday and I have finished it! I fell in love with Noah and Penny from the original book and have been dying to read this one! I absolutely love Zoe Sugg and it is amazing that she has written 2 brilliant books! Penny reminds me of myself a bit, a secret blogger.. if I only I could meet a Noah of my own! Also, if you buy it from Waterstones there is a bonus chapter (YOU NEED TO READ THE BONUS CHAPTER OMG) and at the moment it is £6.50.

Finally, my favourite purchase, I brought my first thing ever from Pandora. Me and my friend are buying each other a ring for Christmas so the one in the photo is actually hers but we got identical ones! We chose our own ring and then we paid for each others. Our rings cost £35 each and they are the ones with the little hearts all the way round. Cute!

Hope you enjoyed this random haul,

halloween cupcakes

Hey! Been as it is Halloween on Saturday, I thought I would show you some cute Halloween-inspired cupcakes you could make for a party or hand out to trick-or-treaters! Enjoy...

You will need 180g of self-raising flour, 180g of caster sugar, 180g of butter, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and green food colouring.

Mix together your butter and sugar so it is creamy (PS. how cute is my pumpkin!).

Add the eggs and stir together. Sieve in the flour with the baking powder and add the vanilla extract. The mixture should be creamy and easily-stirable!

Add as much green food colouring it takes for your mixture to turn "slime-coloured" or until you are happy with the colour!

Put 12 cupcake cases into a tray (I stuck with the green theme) and put the mixture in equal amounts in the cases.

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees celsius for about 20 minutes and cool on a rack.

To Make the butter cream, you will need 75g of butter and 175g of icing sugar.

Mix the butter and icing sugar together so it is creamy (all about the creaminess!).

I chose to add orange food-colouring to this as I think it is quite a Halloween-y colour! You could add green but I think the cakes now have a pumpkin-vibe!

Put a star-nozzle onto a piping bag and spoon your icing into it. Starting in the middle of each cake, pipe a swirl which ends in a small flick at the top.

For a finishing touch, you could add sprinkles which look pretty and are also a great treat instead of a trick!

Thats it!
I hope you enjoyed this Halloween post and let me know if you have a go at making these!
There will be a new post on Sunday.
Love, BethanyBea X

october favourites

Yes it's a tad early but I have another post planned for Tuesday so I thought I would do this one today. Can I just say, IT'S EXACTLY 2 MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS TODAY!!!!!!! I'm slightly obsessed with Christmas, this blog will become "Christmasified" by mid November! Also, this post is an hour later than usual as I forgot the whole Clocks Going Back thing... sorry!

First I will do my beauty faves. I have absolutely been LOVING the Collection Contour Highlight and Sculpt kit! It is literally the best thing ever! Its only £4.20 and you can buy it HERE.

Now it has been going holding, I have been finding it essential to moisturise. It always has been, and always will be, my favourite moisturiser is Body Shop's Shea Butter which is £14 , which I think is pretty good, and you can buy it HERE.

Along side the whole skin care thing, I also think it is important to remove makeup. I had been using the Garner Micellar water but I find it smells weird?! So, this month I have gone back to using Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes which I must prefer, and you can buy them HERE. for £1.50.

My last beauty favourites are nail varnishes, particularly from Essence. I know that you can buy these from Wilko shops but I haven't seem them anywhere else. The nail varnishes cost £1.60 each and they are really good quality! You can buy them  HERE.

Because it has been warm, I have loved lighting candles and snuggling in a blanket and being super cosy. This is actaully called "Spring Meadow" but I see it is a warmer scent, if you get what I mean. Unfortunately, this was a present so I am unsure of shops and pricing.

I just had to put these in my favourites! This month I seem to have had a craving for Jaffa cakes! They are the best things ever! If you are not from the UK, they are soft spongy biscuit things with a chocolate coating on top and orange filling in the middle! They are so nice! They have been my go-to snack this month and you can buy them HERE.

My final favourite is a book. I read this earlier this month and it has now become my all time favourite book! It is called Fangirl by Rainbow Powell and I honestly could not put it down! If you are looking for something to read, try this from HERE.

autumn spice cupcakes

I haven't done a baking style post for so long! Here is a recipe for some spicy cupcakes that are so easy to make and are really tasty!

You will need 2 eggs, 130g of flour, a splash of milk, 100g sugar, 100g butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of ginger and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees celsius.

Mix your butter and sugar together in a bowl.

Add the eggs and vanilla and beat together.

Mix all of the dry ingredients together and add to the mixing bowl.

Stir to form a cake mix, add some of the milk in necessary, so it drips off your spoon.

Put cupcake cases into a tray (this recipe makes between 12 and 16) and spoon in equal amounts of mixture.

Cook for around 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and then put to cool on a cooling rack.
I prefer them left plain, but you can make an icing by mixing 75g of butter, 165g of icing sugar and 10g of mixed spices.
Ice your cakes with the buttercream and sprinkle a small amount of spice to basically make them look prettier!

And you're done!

These cakes are perfect for this time of year and the smell lush!
Hope you enjoyed.
See you soon,

autumn essentials

Hey everyone! Todays I am getting into the autumn loving spirit (even though winter beats it by a MILE) and doing a little collection of all the things I love about Autumn. Enjoy!

Ok so I think a really dark berry lip is essential in autumn! This is one of the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks and has the best consistency ever!

By this, I mean cosy nights in with blankets and films (netflix and chill aye)! After Finding Nemo, these are my two favourite films, and I will watch these with a big bowl of Cadbury Pebbles. Sorry not sorry...

I am more likely to wear a scarf in the Autumn than in the winter. In winter I go past the point of caring and just wear a trillion layers to be warm but in Autumn, its an opourtunity to look nicely warm and not over heat!

SLIPPERS! I get really cold feet so the only way to keep me happy is by wearing slippers! These are the comfiest things ever and they were only £4 at Primark!

Hot drinks! Last year, I was totally digging the hot chocolates. Now I am in a constant cappuccino mood! They're actually really nice, if you don't like coffee, try cappuccino sachets.. promise!

Warm smelling candles. Obviously you can't smell warmth but this literally smells like a Grandmas kitchen a few days before Christmas where she is baking really cute things and its all cute and cosy! This was from Matalan for £3 but the packaging has changed now.

No I'm not saying get your old teddy bears out but this picture is to represent having cuddles. Cuddle on the sofa and just chill. Autumn is definitely the best time for this! (FACT OF THE DAY: This was the first teddy my dad ever brought for me. how cute!)

Hope you enjoyed and may inspire some Autumn fun!
see you soon,
